Cards bolster O-line with Hadnot, Claxton

03/12/2010 - Tempe, AZ (Sportsbook Betting Lines) - The Arizona Cardinals announced Friday they have agreed to terms on contracts with offensive linemen Rex Hadnot and Ben Claxton.

Hadnot's is a three-year pact and Claxton's a one-year deal. Financial terms were not disclosed.

Hadnot, primarily a guard, appeared in nine games and started six last season for Cleveland. The six-year veteran started all 16 games in three consecutive seasons for Miami (2005-07) and 15 games in his first year with the Browns (2008).

Claxton spent the 2009 season with Arizona as a reserve lineman and played in one game at center. He originally signed with the Cardinals in February of 2009 after spending the 2008 season on the Detroit Lions practice squad.

The AFC South and the NFC East are the favorite divisions to have the next Super Bowl champ among them in the NFL betting odds. And it is likely they will do so. The Bengals lost in the AFC Wild Card spot in a hard-fought battle against the New York Jets last season. Lest not forget the Pittsburgh Steelers, the XLII Super Bowl Champions… All these teams present interesting odds and matchups for the upcoming season, but the safest and surest bet seems to be with the Colts in the AFC South and the Cowboys in the NFC East. Brandon Roy Favorite to Win 2007 NBA Rookie of the Year

Despite missing 20 games due to an injury earlier this season, Roy has definitely put up the best numbers of his 1st year peers. In his first game as the new starting guard this past Sunday, Foye had 10 points; five rebounds and 8 assists. More importantly, he logged 34 minutes of playing time; his third highest run of the season.

Adam Morrison, of the Charlotte Bobcats, was the favorite early on in the season after averaging 15+ PPG through the first month of the season. Ever since his torrid start, Morrison’s point production has declined each month. This really isn’t surprising, considering at 6’8” he only weighs 205 lbs. Obviously he will need to hit the weights big time during the off-season in order to keep from breaking down in the future.
